Some say the BMW M3 is beginning to show its age, especially considering the all-new F30 3-series has already been spotted in testing. As far as performance is concerned however, the E92 M3 coupe continues to impress and dispose of even recently introduced competition, such as the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe. Many pegged the C63 AMG coupe to give the M3 a run for its money, if not overtake it. Remarkably however, both AMS and Autobild recently ran comparisons between the two super coupes and came to the same conclusion: The M3 still is the better car.
Per Autobild, the “M3 won as it’s sportier and produces more fun”, or as AMS puts it, “afterall it’s the level of maturity which makes the M3 the better car”.

The videos below were taken during the M5 safety car’s police escorted drive from the race track to downtown Indianapolis, where it was shown off to BMW M Experience VIPs and passerbys.

BMW has ambitions to reduce the weight of its future vehicles by the incorporation of more carbon fiber (CFRP) into its automobile’s materials. As one recent article stated - it is out to create a new infrastructure for carbon-fiber auto manufacturing covering everything from the material to the final product, and in the process open the door for wider use of the material. The company’s goal is to bring down the cost of carbon fiber to be competitive with aluminum, making it a viable and common material for widespread use in its cars.

Here we have the first official BMW video of the z4 sDrive28i with its Twinpower Turbo 2.0L inline 4-cylinder N20 motor. While the exterior of the car remains the same, it’s the sounds that makes the video interesting.
This is the first good official clip of the Z4 N20 engine and exhaust. Keep in mind that this won’t necessarily be how the N20 will sound on the upcoming F10 528i and F30 328i, as each BMW’s sound is tuned differently.
