The next episode of BMW Singapore’s “BMW Switch” prank series has been posted.
The first episode featured a switch of a woman’s 1 series coupe with a BMW Performance parts equipped 135i.
This newest episode features a similar switch where a standard E90 3 series sedan was switched with performance parts model. Check out the switch inside.
Akrapovic has been gaining quite a reputation in BMW circles by becoming BMW’s exhaust partner for the BMW 1M coupe safety car and the BMW F10 M5 safety car. And now Alpina, the legendary BMW tuning outfit, has also turned to Akrapovic for its latest creation – the Alpina B6. It looks like a relationship which should continue for future Alpina models.
The Alpina B6 Akrapovic titanium exhaust system is 23kg lighter than the factory steel exhaust. This represents a 45% weight reduction.

The now retired V10 S85 engine from the E60 M5 and E63/E64 M6 continues to live on in many a project car and in racing applications.
Long time BMW tuner, Dinan, has just finished development of a custom BMW S85 motor, which has been bored and stroked to 5.8L (from 5.0L). Combined with performance cams, dry sump oil system, a racing exhaust, and custom software tune, this hopped up engine produced 720hp (@8300rpm) and 497lb-ft (@6900rpm) on 98 octane race gas.
