The BMW 335i (F30) sedan is put to the test against the more powerful (and more expensive) Audi S4. Can the 335i keep up? While the 335i was down on acceleration compared to the S4, the author still picked the 335i over the S4. Why? Here’s some of the notable things said about each car and how they compared:
“The 300hp inline-6 in the 3-series impresses with its sharp throttle response and smooth-as-silk operation. Not only does it accelerate the 335i strongly, but it also shows a nice and warm engine sound causing goose bumps. And that’s something the Audi can’t keep up with. Its [Audi's] V6 does make a good noise but it’s always a bit artificial – as if the engine sound was composed on … CONTINUED
The BMW M3 DTM cars are set to take on their Audi and Mercedes Benz rivals for real and for the first time in just over two weeks at Hockenheim (on April 29), but the race cars first face off in this photo session from Media Day, where for the first time the final DTM cars were revealed together. This will be BMW’s first DTM race since October 11, 1992.
Subject to the same regulations, the three German marquees’ cars share similar general aero bits and styling, but each also maintains the essence of the respective models’ styling cues – grilles, lights, and the like.
And you haven’t heard or seen the M3 DTM cars in action, be sure to check out the videos we’ve reposted below. Photos … CONTINUED

We’ve spied the upcoming 3 series F31 touring again, but this time we get a look at it against the outgoing 3 series E91 touring model. As one can see, the two share similar rooflines and tailgate shapes. However, the F31′s tailgate appears more sculpted, extending out to a more pronounced trunk lip than the E91. The F31′s roof spoiler is also flatter than the E91 roof spoiler, giving the F31 roofline a sleeker shape near the C pillar.
The F31′s side character line is also deeper and longer, extending all the way into the tail lights, unlike the E91′s which ends before reaching the side of the tail lights.
Reviewed together with the F31 rear design patent CGIs (images below), little is left to the imagination as … CONTINUED
