The next generation BMW X6 (F16) will be revealed this Summer and dealers have just recently received ordering forms for their demo/initial models. As before, these demo ordering guides have proven to be a good predictor of what options, packages, equipment will be made available for the regular customer ordered models.

BMW is recalling a 156,137 vehicles, both luxury cars and SUVs, to make sure bolts holding a component in their six-cylinder engines can break loose and cause stalling or engine damage.

BMW says it has told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that in rare cases, bolts holding the variable camshaft timing unit may come loose or break, causing the engine to go into a “safe mode.” If the problem continues, it can lead to stalling, engine damage – and it may not start.

With the F15 X5 now launched, BMW turns to developing its SAC (Sports Activity Coupe) sibling – the F16 X6.

The new X6 shares styling cues from both the new X5 and the upcoming X4. It shares the X5′s new headlights-meet-grilles, enlarged kidney grilles and more forward leaning front fascia. Like the X5, the X6 also features air breather vents behind its front wheels.
