The X6 LCI models will also sport new kidney grilles which will take on a more three-dimensional look - owing to the kink in the lower half of the kidney slats. While touring the Geneva autoshow, you come across all sorts of BMWs, not just the OEM products BMW has on display, but a whole array of cars from aftermarket tuners. Here is the Lumma CLR X650, based on the BMW X6.

The massive bodykit widens the SUV by 5 cm on each side with an accompanying front bumper that means business. Carbon fibre is on tap a plenty to give the pure aftermarket look to BMW’s most sporty SUV. In the end, this isn’t my cup of tea, but the desired effect was accomplished as the SUV certainly stands out among the pack.

Here’s an older but great review by well respected auto journalist Chris Harris track testing the X6 against some considerably more expensive (and powerful) competitors - the Cayenne Turbo, ML63 AMG, and Q7 V12. The SUV/SAVs are driven around a small and fairly technical track where the X6 turns in an impressive performance. Video and results inside.
