You all should obviously aim to be winners like me. Summary below and lots and lots of pics in random order (because Bimmerpost app likes to randomize pics).
With the help of many people online and offline, with special thanks to
AndroidRobot for unlocking the key evidence, I now have:
- new 19" Space Saver Spare rim and tire per the same part number as is readily available in US (ordered by dealer when faced with incontrovertible evidence of existence; paid by me)
- the jack kit and mount from F15 X5 (given to me by dealer for free out of raging pity)
- home made jack-kit-to-rim attachment mechanism since Canadian G05 X5 do not have the vehicle attached version of this facility; this works great and eliminates any chance of movement or noises
