This discussion is not about fake sounds through INTERIOR audio system speakers (aka ASD, Active Sound Design). 40i and all X5 have ASD.
This discussion is about an additional EXTERNAL speaker (that I believe is actually used to cancel exhaust noise but can be used to enhance as well, but this interpretation is disputed) on some X5 models.
