I have a 2014 435xi (edc) and was wanting to lower it, I got 15mm spacers in the front and 20mm in the rear 19” rims, I’ve seen a lot of people with different opinions on what springs are the best, what is yall opinions. This is how she sits at of right now

I know it just got posted, but bump for this. I have the same car and I'm still a little unclear how coilovers can affect EDC, so springs (albeit as seemingly unpopular as they are) have been on the radar, so I'd like to know, too. Appreciate the help!

435xMaya, what a great color combination. Wrap?

Before considering lowering springs, it's helpful to review ..

- The budget vs goals? Do the goals include any specific suspension behavior improvements?
- Project to install lowering springs can start as "lower the vehicle, everything should be perfect" and conclude as "lower the vehicle, don't like the new suspension behavior, too low, can't raise the vehicle at any price unless ... "
- " ... unless coilovers were purchased instead of lowering springs
- Even coilovers may not be the answer because some coilovers lower the vehicle beyond the comfort zone for some

Since your vehicle has M Adaptive suspension (aka EDC), coilovers which use the existing M Adaptive capabilities and simply plug in the existing connectors might be the better - albeit not an inexpensive - option.

Lowering springs will lower the vehicle, will reduce the suspension travel, and will also change the suspension behavior. Some ignore the changes, while others do not like the changes.

If you prefer to have options after lowering the vehicle - raise it slightly or further tune the suspension behavior - lowering springs are not the best choice.

Thank you the wrap is Avery Dennison SW900 Supreme Matte Purple Metallic, cars at almost 100k miles going to be my daily and add a bike for fun as of rn, don’t want to do anything too expensive suspension wise, so likely springs just to get that flush-ish look, what do you think about springs and M4 bump stops

If electing to get lowering springs (with all other caveats acknowledged), Eibach would be my suggestions as well. alohasurftoad, thanks for joining the discussion.
