Thanks. BTW - off topic of this thread but had a software update and hard reset. Now the connected features app work.

I preordered the black M winter wheels 20 inch. Will post a picture on the car when it arrives this week at dealership. The wheels are already there, they have a matte black finish, seem nice. Not orbit grey metallic like my x5m wheels.

Nope. Just went right on. I did have to reset the tires in the system to 'winter'. But I think details of that were covered in an earlier post. Very simple to do.

There would be no reason an alignment needs to be done after just changing tires.

I had my tires switched to Pirelli Sottozero 3. So far, seems to work great with little change in the ride and appearance. These tires are 10MM skinnier front and rear, but otherwise the same measurements. According to a tire size calculator, this makes less than a 2% diameter change which is minimal.

I've seen these available on eBay, probably your best place to get them from once you know the oem size.

Am I correct to notice that none of the tire options available for winter set would be RFT's? Any thoughts on this? I generally like the advantage of being able to keep going and get home (on a short trip) if I have a nail in my tire.
