BMW will take the concept of driving pleasure to the next level at this year’s IAA International Motor Show: Visitors to the show will be able to experience the endless driving pleasure of the new BMW models on an almost 300-metre-long track over three levels. In this way, BMW is putting a new spin on the tradition it started in 2009 with its active driving concept for shows. Visitors to the IAA enjoy impressive views of the new products from every angle. The combination of motor show and event, international vehicle premieres and unique stand architecture ensures that the BMW Group brand presentation is a 360°, all-round experience for every IAA visitor.

We were in attendance today at the NYC world premiere event for the BMW i3 sedan [Official Thread]. The i3 was simultaneously debuted in three cities – NYC, London and Beijing, and the cover was pulled back on the i3 at the same exact moment over live feeds at each location.
The debut event was held in a building bordering the High Line Park in NYC, a 1-mile linear park built on a 1.45-mile section of a former New York elevated subway track. It was quite the appropriate venue as both the i3 and the High Line Park represents sustainability mentality and creating something with an eye towards recycling (since the the railway was recycled into an urban park).

Some sights from the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The 4 Series Coupe is starting to make its rounds at dealers and an M Sport model was recently on display at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This Estoril Blue F32 gives us some of the best looks yet at the 4 Series M Sport model.
For the first time outside of BMW. The Gran Lusso Concept car has been shown at the BMW Pavillion at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Photo gallery from the 2013 German Car Fest, which took place recently at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver. It is hosted by the BMW Car Club of BC, Porsche Club of America – Canada West Region, and the Mercedes-Benz Club of America – BC Section. It was open to all German cars, and proceeds and non-perishable food donations benefit the North Shore Harvest Project.
My pictures mostly covers the BMWs in attendance, plus a smattering of general pictures from the other makes.
This weekend was the annual Sport Auto (a German car magazine) drift challenge and fastest lap around HockenheimRing.
Sport Auto calls it: “High Performance Days”. Its generally just a bad a$$ car show with a track day thrown in for good measure. All the German manufactures bring their museum and production cars for display. And then you have the drifting crowd that brings their machines to shred tires with! Its a great weekend car event. We went and toured the paddock area for a few hours Friday. The event is held all weekend a Hockenheim near Frankfurt/Heidelberg area. Here are our pics.
