We’ve already shown you the i8 in silver and black, but BMW debuted the i8 at the Frankfurt show in an even wilder color – Protonic Blue Metallic with frozen grey accents.
David (Dackelone) was on hand to witness the reveal and gives us this first look at the i8 in Protonic Blue.
Wolfram Greiner – the manager for BMW Group trade fair presentations, gives insights into the current state of things, the concept of the BMW’s new presentation at IAA and some of its highlights.

As you’ve seen, we spent the latter half of last week at the Pebble Beach Automotive Week in Monterey, California, which is an annual week-long banquet of events for automobile enthusiasts and connoisseurs who converge on the Monterey area. While the collection of automotive hardware (everything from some of the most expensive classics to the latest model exotics) spotted around the Monterey peninsula was the largest and most impressive gathering we’ve ever witnessed, the highlight of the trip for us was having the first look … CONTINUED

BMW will take the concept of driving pleasure to the next level at this year’s IAA International Motor Show: Visitors to the show will be able to experience the endless driving pleasure of the new BMW models on an almost 300-metre-long track over three levels. In this way, BMW is putting a new spin on the tradition it started in 2009 with its active driving concept for shows. Visitors to the IAA enjoy impressive views of the new products from every angle. The combination of … CONTINUED
We were in attendance today at the NYC world premiere event for the BMW i3 sedan [Official Thread]. The i3 was simultaneously debuted in three cities – NYC, London and Beijing, and the cover was pulled back on the i3 at the same exact moment over live feeds at each location.
The debut event was held in a building bordering the High Line Park in NYC, a 1-mile linear park built on a 1.45-mile section of a former New York elevated subway track. It was quite … CONTINUED
Some sights from the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The 4 Series Coupe is starting to make its rounds at dealers and an M Sport model was recently on display at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This Estoril Blue F32 gives us some of the best looks yet at the 4 Series M Sport model.
For the first time outside of BMW. The Gran Lusso Concept car has been shown at the BMW Pavillion at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Photo gallery from the 2013 German Car Fest, which took place recently at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver. It is hosted by the BMW Car Club of BC, Porsche Club of America – Canada West Region, and the Mercedes-Benz Club of America – BC Section. It was open to all German cars, and proceeds and non-perishable food donations benefit the North Shore Harvest Project.
My pictures mostly covers the BMWs in attendance, plus a smattering of general pictures from the other makes.
This weekend was the annual Sport Auto (a German car magazine) drift challenge and fastest lap around HockenheimRing.
Sport Auto calls it: “High Performance Days”. Its generally just a bad a$$ car show with a track day thrown in for good measure. All the German manufactures bring their museum and production cars for display. And then you have the drifting crowd that brings their machines to shred tires with! Its a great weekend car event. We went and toured the paddock area for a few … CONTINUED

Video of BMW at the Auto Shanghai 2013, with press conferences showing the BMW X4 Concept, as well as visual highlights from the BMW display.
We had the good fortune to attend the Techno Classica car show in Essen this past weekend. BMW had a HUGE display(again) this year. What I always love about BMW’s display is that they bring their old classic cars from BMW Classic while they also invite the “creme dela creme” BMW car clubs thru out Germany, to come out and represent the brand. I think this is what makes this show special for me. Members from the various BMW car clubs are on hand to … CONTINUED
