We know that BMW and Toyota have teamed up on a joint sports car project, but what we don’t know is exactly what models this collaboration will spawn for BMW and Toyota.
For Toyota, many speculate that this collaboration will result in the next coming of the Toyota Supra.
As for BMW, it seems that the decision is still up in the air. Members of BMW’s product team recently spoke with Drive and revealed that they are working on “four, five or six” different possible models for the joint project.

The upcoming M235i Coupe will beat the 1M Coupe around the Nurburgring, so says Klaus Froehlich, Senior Vice President Brand and Product Strategies at BMW. In speaking to Autoexpress, he states that:
“I have just signed off the M235i’s M Sport performance kit, which will include a proper limited slip differential – LSD. I’m just working out whether to make this an option on all models.
The M235i is as close a spiritual successor to the 2002ti that we’ve had. My initial benchmark was that it will be faster than the BMW 1M Coupe around the Nurburgring, which it is.

BMW M4 Concept Car will be unveiled at Pebble Beach in August.
M4 is more the car to convince seeing as it dispenses with history in order to forge a new beginning with a new icon.
The car will be unveiled at Pebble Beach and then flown back to Germany where it will be displayed at the IAA in Frankfurt in September.
Both M3 and M4 are being presented at the NAIAS in Detroit along with the production BMW X4.
While we were in Portugal for the 4 Series Coupe launch, we also had a first look and drive of the M5 and M6 with Competition Package [full details]. We’ll be sharing some first drive thoughts soon, but for now, have a look and listen at the cars in action. None of the cars in the photos are equipped with the 20″ Competition Package wheels, but you can see them in action in the videos below.
For those not familiar with the M5/M6 Competition Package, it features the following:
Power increase by 11kW (15HP) to 423kW (575 HP)
Stiffer stabilizer (anti-roll) bars
Stiffer and lower suspension (shocks and springs) (10mm lower than standard M5).
BMW today announced pricing for the ground-breaking BMW i3 electric vehicle. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (without Destination & Handling) in the US will be $41,350, before any federal or state incentives. The Destination & Handling fee in the US is currently $925.
