He has now moved cross-country with his M3 and has again shared with us a report of his time at the Redline Time Attack Autoclub Speedway. The lucky guys at Car and Driver recently had a chance to do something that we can only do in our dreams — test drive the ALMS M3 GT race car. What they share with us is some great insight from a non-professional driver as well as some stunning photography of the ALMS M3.
Check out this cool 3 part video celebrating the M3’s storied history. E30, E36, E46 and E90/E92 versions are all covered, including factory models, special editions, and motorsports models, as well as other special M3 related events and technologies.
APP Europe has unveiled its Stoptech BMW M3 Trackday Edition, featuring both performance and cosmetic upgrades. Power is bumped up 30hp and 40Nm torque and achieved by Collaction AG. The 6-piston/4-piston STR Stoptech brakes increase stopping power while lightening the M3 by over 8kg. Lightweight wheels further lighten the car by 6kg, and the handling is further improved with KW clubsport suspension. The Akrapovic titanium evolution exhaust system gives provides a meaner soundtrack while saving 23kg over the stock exhaust system.
As for cosmetics, the change is subtle with a titanium silver foil with metallic effect.

Bimmerfile has just reported that BMWNA will be releasing a limited edition M3 specifically for the U.S. They have secured some preview photos of this U.S. limited edition M3.
Here are its preliminary details

German tuner GTHaus’ new M3 widebody kit may achieve exactly that. The GTHaus M3 features a fully carbon fiber widebody kit with massive fenders, front bumper with splitters, sideskirts with winglets, and huge rear wing, , as well as 20″ wheels (11×20″/13×20″), and Brembo BBK. The bodykit is priced at around $12,500.
Jay Leno drives the E92 M3 in his latest episode of Jaylenosgarage. Although he gets some of his facts wrong (as our M3post members unrelentingly point out), he appears to enjoy the car greatly and grasps the essence of what makes the current M3 so great.
