Looking to get 6wb cluster

I’ve done a little research into getting a 6wb for my 2016 340i. I was told this is the one I should get https://www.bimmer-tech.net/category...nt-cluster-6wb.

6WB BMW OEM Digital Cluster
Models: F3x (3/4 Series)
For vehicles without head-up display (HUD)
OR
Models: F3x (3/4 Series)
For vehicles NBT Evo head units

I see some reference that I’ll need a fiber optic cable. How can I tell if I need one or not?

What cluster are you moving from? Basic or 6WA? If you have 6WA you’ll have the optical cable, if you have basic you won’t.

You have 6WA (aka extended instrument cluster)
You have optical cable (aka MOST)

I think you need Pro Nav for the 6WB to work as well, so if you have that then you should be good to go ( unless someone knows otherwise ) ?

Maybe, I don't know if navigation is mandatory

You have two screws to disassemble the cluster, unscrew them and see if you have the optical fiber
