Adding Mesh or Screen to lower grill

Has anyone added any mesh or screen to the lower grill to protect the intercooler? I feel it needs something and it would also look cool. Looking for suggestions.

I used some plastic mesh behind the grill, see post #18. There is also an OEM rock guard available.

Similar mesh added to mine for low cost. Still in place with no issue after three years.

I saw this post about a year back when I had to replace my heat exchanger because of a rock. This mesh is perfect and looks great

I like that hex mesh too. I don't have much rock damage on the radiators, but it would be nice to keep the side opening from filling up with leaves every fall.

Thanks guys. Lots of good suggestions. I guess I'll check out lowes and home depot to see what they have for screen.
