I’m still fairly new to BMW’s and learning as i go but i was having the code (U0079) pop up when i would plug in my scanner. With that being said i did some research to on the code and found out that it’s the water pump still going while the car is off. I have an e92 with an N55 as well and i was wondering if i could use that water pump on the F30 or if they are completely different. I can get a new one from fcp euro but i don’t wanna have to do that if i can just use the one from the E92.

more than likely it’s different but go to realoem.com and get the part number and compare the p/n between both cars and you’ll have your answer.
