Is it possible to disable the keyfob trunk remote function with Bimmercode? I dug around and read that one can only extend the period it takes for the trunk to open after depressing the button. Hoping some new developments have come about!

Wouldn’t know about bimmercode, but as I recall you can change the interior button to lift gate or glass, and I THOUGHT I saw similar en eSYS when I was messing around shortly after getting the car.

Question though. Is the reason you want to disable because you can accidentally open… but then have to go to the car amd push button to close?

That’s why I changed my fob to open and close… plus learned to wear my keys in pocket and fob hanging out.

Yup, I want to disable it because it can accidentally open in your pants pocket. It happened to me the other day and caused my trunk to get scratched. Being able to open the liftgate with the fob is handy but it's a function I could live without for fear of damaging the trunk.

Yep. I’m guessing you were parked nose first in the garage and it opened into the garage door.. I started parking tail first when that happened.

Yes sir, nose first. If I backed into my garage I would end up with my tailgate potentially hitting a tool chest

My temporary fix is a faux leather zip-up keyfob cover that's hard enough to prevent accidental button pressing.
