I'm thinking about trading in my 335i coupe in for this
2013 Dodge challenger SRT8 with the 392, tell me what you guys think about these cars. I love the styling over the mustang or camaro.

This car looks awesome, and sounds epic. But, thats about all it does. It drives like a boat, has a very plasticky interior, and has terrible steering feel. Test drive one and see if its to your liking.

i wouldn't do it. i like the 392. engine sounds good but just overall the fit and finish isn't there. I would consider the new c7 corvetter. Not sure how much of a price difference there is between those two(s). 20k?
Also i like the mustangs out of the bunch, it's been out the longest but somehow they have kept the design refreshed. With the new front it looks amazing. |

Personally, the Challenger SRT8 is 100% the best looking out of all of them. That's an awesome car and the interior isn't as plasticy as some people say it is. If you don't mind sacrificing handling for a bad @ss car then go for it. |

it won't compare with your 335i in fit/finish/handling. They are big old boats - awesome looking but still a boat.

I've personally never liked the looks of the Challenger (both inside and out) - and far prefer the Mustang and even Camaro (although I would probably never buy an American muscle car as they stand now).
But, that's my personal opinion, and it seems to be a great car... so if you truly enjoy driving it, why not! It's not what people on the outside think about, its how you feel when you sit down in the drivers seat.

Tough to get a solid opinion about a car on an enthusiast website for the car you want to dump. The challenger is the only American muscle car I would get. They just did it right as far as hitting the nostalgia thing. I was raised in a Ford household but always had a love for the 'Cuda and Challenger. Dump the BMW buy the Challenger and in a few years when you're tired of winning stop light races you can come back to the BMW fold. But don't forget... put some Cherrybombs or glass packs on that thing so others get to enjoy it too.

A buddy of mine recently sold his '09 M3 coupe and his '11 MB ML550 and bought a '12 Jeep SRT8. I drove it last week, and that thing is a beast. The interior finish was more than satisfactory, some surfaces are a bit hard but it pulled a 4.7 second 0-60 (according to the onboard timer) with 5 people in the car! I say take it for a drive and see if you like it before making any rash decisions

In all honesty its probably one of the worst cars I have ever driver and I'll tell you why:
1. Styling - Amazing that's all I can say albeit its a very big car. 2. It was a V6 version so it was very slow for how it looks. Granted there are more powerful models but none of them offer what the competition provides. 3. Worst ergonomics in any car I have ever driven. 4. Massive blind spots 5. Interior looked like I was in a plastic manufacturing facility. 6. Suspension was so soft it felt like a boat. I can't imagine the better versions feeling any different. 7. I was actually happy when I took it back to the rental car company and got a Chevy Equinox instead. All in all do yourself a favor and don't buy it. |

Fun car to rent, but you better love it if you're gonna buy it.

I think the Challenger is absolutely stunning to look at, and that counts for a lot with me. YMMV. However I don't like the rear-deck spoiler! |
