Looking to get SWS-8 2 or 4 ohms?
Like title. Will there be any difference if using an aftermarket amp?
Where can I get a good deal on SWS? |

Yes, if you have a one channel amp you will want to get 4 ohm subs and run them in parallel. If you get a two channel amp you will get the 2 ohm subs and run one to each channel. It all depends on what amp you get. You will want to get about 150rms to each sub. I will be using an Alpine MRP-M450 amp and running the 4 ohm subs in parallel to the single channel.
As for a good price....I just contacted audioonesaving on Ebay per this link and I just ordered 2 from them yesterday for $200. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...&highlight=sws

I'm thinking of getting the Alpine PDX-5 which only has 1 channel for sub, but the spec says it can support both 2 and 4 ohm speaker, so that's y I posted.

You don't want to make the PDX work at 1ohm, but you can make it work at 2ohm. 2 SWSs 4ohm is your way |

cool, thanks for all your replies. I think I'll get the 4 ohms, but out of curiosity, would it be the same if I run 2 2ohm in series VS. 2 4ohm in parallel? or is running them in series is not a good idea?
