F30 OEM M Sport Rear Bumper Cover w/ PDC Conversion

Hi guys

As title states, this is about a rear bumper conversion from Sportline to M Sport.... I'm going OEM, will the rear bumper cover fit without any issues?

I've seen threads with people saying it will work but you need to replace the plastic mounting bracket, and some cases where people did the bumper swap without the need to swap the plastic mounting bracket.

Reason I'm asking is because I sourced an OEM F30 M Sport Rear Bumper Cover and would need to figure out if I need to source the plastic mounting bracket as well. Would be a pain to take off my stock bumper, swap only to find it doesn't fit and have to put back on my rear bumper until I get the piece.

The part is $50 new from ECS. If BMW could have used the same part, they would have. It's probably possible to install without replacing it, but it probably doesn't fit the exact contour of the M Sport bumper. I'd just replace it. Even the aftermarket kits from eBay come with the plastic reinforcement piece. That should tell you that you should replace it.

Thanks for the feedback.

Gonna leave this here in case anybody else has this question, but yes you have to replace the mounting bracket. The bottom right and left corners of the old one will get in the way of the any rear diffuser that you install. Most kits come with the mounting bracket.
