Fog light without headlight on

Hey guys! I recently changed my halogen fog light bulbs to LED and they look gorgeous!! I wanted to know if there's a way I can turn the fog lights on without turning the headlight on. I want to be able to keep my switch on auto and the fog lights to come one when I press the button for them. What I'm trying to say is, when my LED DRLs are on, I want to also be able to turn on my fog lights without the whole headlight turning on. Any help is appreciated

cant you just set it to parking light and then press the fog light button? one click to the right instead of relying on auto. pressing the fog light button when it on auto is programmed to turn on the headlights.

It's close to what you described in your original post, except for the fog light switch. Instead of hitting the fog light switch to turn the fogs on/off, they are instead just always on whether the head lights are on or off. I know its technically a loss of functionality, but even if I had the switch functioning, i would probably have it on all the time - plus this way i dont have to remember to flip a switch everytime.

If I can find my module, I will try it on my car.

I think that works if you turn the parking lights on and you can turn on fog lights. No headlights but parking lights.

Ok it worked. I can turn on the fog lights with parking lights only. I cannot turn on the fog lights if it is set to off.

Sorry. It’s 2am and my angel eyes are set to 100%. I will try in the morning to see if I can turn on the fogs only if it is set to auto during daylight

Wow that's cool! But is there a way to turn them on with just the DRL on? When the switch is on 0? It's illegal to drive with the parking lights on anyways

I don’t think that can be coded.
I will see what the auto position does during daylight if I hit the fog light switch. Just waiting for the sun to rise.

Yeah I'd like to be able to keep he switch in the auto position and have the fog lights be on with the DRL during he daylight if I want it to be on and on with the headlight during the nighttime if I want it to be on.

In the auto position with headlights off and drls on, hitting the fog light switch turns on the headlights automatically.

this is pretty much a safety feature to easily turn on your headlights when using wipers in the rain and its daytime.. it allows for better visibility of your car to others..

why is it so hard to just have it set to the parking light switch and press a fog light button. on my e90 i did this for mornings and evenings when it wasnt dark enough for full headlights.

You can always code out the corner lights (parking lights) like ive done so you see no illuminated amber but will still activate when using turn signal.

I have my fogs enabled when parking lights are on. Still have to push the fog button. That may be as close as you're going to get....

Coded with BimmerCode.
