Help Finding charge air induction tract o ring
Hey guys my car is about to be back on the road but one thing stopping it, an o ring, I bought the inlet used for good price but he had to use the o ring for his upgraded one anyways its so hard to find it I cant find it anywhere do you guys know where I can find it?
This is the ring I am talking about https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=13_1357 So there on that website I am trying to find the one for number 16 charge air induction tract but its not the 17 o ring its the one that goes on the other side its not even listed there I will put a picture of exactly where it goes, if you guys can please help me find this thanks!! |

Failing that, get some decent measurements of the groove (dia and width), and the housing (dia), and you should be able to figure what size you need...

As another option, try this one: 11618506782
It is for a F20/F30 but the turbos are identical. The ID of the seal should be the same but the OD may be different because the inlet coupler changed between the models. The seal is a V shaped directional seal. Lube it up generously with silicone spray, pinch it down like a heart shape and then massage it into the groove. You want the opening of the V to face the direction of airflow. It is normal to need to massage this type of seal into the groove (they don't just slide or pop in). If it works then report back for the benefit of others |
