Tires Help 335i
I have a 2008 335i coupe with the 230 style wheels 19". I live in San Francisco and as most people know the roads are trashed. My car currently rides so rough Im afraid its going to rattle itself apart. So Im trying to figure out my options. Currently the car has 255/30 on the rear and 225/35. I am thinking of doing 265/30 235/35 to get a bit more sidewall...or I completely sell the wheels and get 18s. and suggestion would really be great. thanks

The problem is RFT. Run flats are overbuilt to support the weight of the car when they go flat, so they are PUNISHING when you hit a bump. Some people on this forum refer to the sound as an EXPOSION - as in pothole explosion! Just purchase some non-RFTs.

No not at all. I have the same Style 230 wheels and run 225/35 front and 265/35 in the rear without any issue. I ditched the run flat tires though years ago cause they are worthless. The ride quality is terrible, their handling characteristics suck, and they cost more. When I replace my tires again, I am going with 235/35 front and staying with the 265/35 in the rear.

I would recommend keeping a spare wheel/tire in the trunk if you decide to go this route. -Charles@VMRWheels

265/35
So I was talking to the dealer the other about doing just that putting 265/30 on the rear and 235/ 35 on the front, they said it's goin to affect the gas mileage, the speedometer, and make the car slower??
