but I've seen a M3 with full elec seats with memory, have 5 pins in the wing mirror! So it could be possible that there are power fold mirrors that have 5 pins & don't use the Lin bus wires!? Damn.... I just want the mirrors, so I know one way or another! |

But if u have electric memory and get some 3 pin mirrors then it's a lot more simpler to code. 5 pin mirrors will not have Autofold motor in them. |

When you used to tick memory seat on e9x configuration, you had to pay only nominal charges for folding mirrors. However some intelligent people decided to go against folding mirrors. So you'll find memory seats with standard mirrors but those cars are 5-10% of e9x population.

I have told you in other post that 99% you have 3 pin mirrors.

I have a european e93 330d with electrical, autodimming and electrical folding mirrors.
But the connector is a 5pin version Now I'm looking for the LCI design version to do the swap. If I'm losing the auto dimming function, I don't care. Does this exist, electrically adjustable and electrically folding LCI mirrors in a 5 pin config? If so, what are the parnumbers? (Looked on realoem but pin config is not mentionned) |

I have electrically folding mirrors and they are no 3pin but 5pin
I checked by dismantling the mirror and my local dealer confirmed based on my chassis number! |

Is it possible to dismantle the motors and wiring of my mirror and
Re-install it in the "lci mirror casing" If you compare both pics it looks as if it's not such a stupid question. Can't imagine that bmw develops each time new motors, they try keep costs as low as possible I guess so same equipment in new design... Last edited by KHEETHEM; 09-03-2015 at 10:27 AM.. |

Site must be down at minute, try Facebook https://m.facebook.com/pages/Peter-V...78766925620389
He charged me £175 which I was happy to pay before start of job. He was so knowledgeable and helped with other questions I had, showed me what needs doing what I shouldn't do to waste money and did extra free coding |
