M Performance Exhaust Install

Hi, I am convinced to get the m performance exhaust. I negotiated with my dealer and have a quote of $900 but thr installation charge is 3 hours of effort which is $591. I think that's really high and since my car is a CPO I would like to have the work done at a dealership by BMW
any suggestions on how I can bring the install cost down or is that standard cost.
I am located in the bay area so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Order from eBay for $800 shipped, no tax. Then either DIY or take it to a muffler shop and have it installed for 1 labor hour max. Stay away from that dealership - 3 hours is a total rip off.

+1. 591$ install is ridiculous.

Like the others have said - way too much for install. I paid $125 for an MPE install at a Chicago area BMW dealer.

I paid my dealer $136. Your dealer is slowly bending you over with a smile on their face.

Do it yourself, less than 20 minutes. If you don't have an exhaust cutter that will cost you about 30 bucks. Most people I think try to get the rubber hangars installed with the brackets still installed on the car. Easier, faster, and less chance of damaging the hangars if you remove the brackets from the car, install the hangars and brackets on the new exhaust, then reinstall the whole thing. One bolt each side. The tailpipe is already dimpled to show you where to cut. 20 minutes or less is realistic.

The dealer has to make money somewhere. Their labor fee usually isn't negotiable. If you have the time, tools and skill do it yourself and save you the coin.

That nearly the price of the JB4. hehehehe

Wow! That's crazy high for install of the MPE! I had mine done at a local shop (owner and his wife are CCA members) for under $100.
