Front Camera - how to wire to enable it during parking?

I am yet to purchase my Android head unit (not MMI route) but getting mixed messages.

If I have an aftermarket front and reverse camera, will the front camera always be triggered after I switch from reverse to drive? If not always, how do I wire it so that it does so? By front camera I mean external front camera, not for DVR purposes.

Do all Android HUs support the front camera to turn on automatically or do I need to amend the software?

Do I need something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1PC-Car-F...-127635-2958-0
I hope not, looks like extra complexity.

Thanks!

Nobody here can say for sure. You would need to follow the directions provided by the camera and/or head unit.

Mine arrives next week
But it should turn off after 15 seconds right? At least that's what I thought.

What about the switch button?

Also how are you powering the front camera, is that something that might be causing the issue?

Yes if you get a box that switch between the two I have done it few years ago see if I can find what I used I'll post a link. When I go into reverse my rear turns on, then when I take it out front come on for short time, if I press P button that turns on front 👍
