Gloss Black DCT Bezel Option: Now Available
Whats going on E9X M3 fam! Its been a while since I have posted anything regarding my sewing work, but im happy to tune in and share some of the recent work I have finished up in the month of February!
First off regarding the carbon bezel/red cross stitch DCT boot, the owner provided me with this Auto Tecknic Carbon bezel as well as their own choice of Alcantara. I only mention it as I dont normally have any aftermarket options for these DCT boot/knob restorations, but I am more than happy to work with anyone (within reason) if you have another route that you want to go with yours! The biggest change from just a couple of months ago would be my willingness to paint the bezel in Gloss Black for those who want it done. I had not planned to ever offer it, as ill mention again, THIS IS A RATTLE CAN PAINT JOB, NOT A PROFESSIONAL ONE, but seeing how many people were ok with that sort of paint work, and now seeing a few of them done with rather surprising results, I am now taking requests for the paint work, just know that I will do my absolute best to achieve as close to perfect results as I can with the tools I have. Fortunately since these bezels are small pieces, its fairly simple to be consistent and have them turn out "near perfect" (meaning no orange peel and a glossy like finish) This is also the first time im officially posting about the parking brake boots for this chassis. Ive already sent out a number of them, but I didnt have time to take any decent photos until this run of items, but as you can see, the quality of the parking brake boots is exactly the same as the quality of the DCT knob/boot restorations, same material, same thread options, and the perfect compliment to the DCT knobs/boots 👍🏽 As usual, I appreciate the continued support in my work and im beyond stoked that so many people are allowing me to be ever so slightly involved in their builds, it means a lot! 🙏🏽 |

Excellent work … love the M-stitched alcantara/gloss black DCT knob. Match that with the same style hand brake boot and boom, perfect. Too bad I’m in Australia and RHD
Good luck on the venture!

Truly impressive to see this level of dedication, bravo! The quality of the work is something else.

Amazing job!
By the way, how is the DCT knob removed? Disconnecting the connector and then just pulling hard? Is the alcantara bag with the same system as the handbrake?

I think right now this is primarily a USA only option. The reason being I dont keep any of these assemblies on hand, so the method in which I have been doing these restorations for other owners is by having them send me their items, ill do the work, then ship the items back ready to be installed, and by doing it that way it makes it difficult to try to do any from overseas unless you're willing to eat those shipping costs. If it wasn't for the difficulty of shipping costs/time to do this job for owners outside of the USA, id offer them no problem, I would just hate to have to add those costs/time constraints onto anyone who isn't "local", if that makes sense.
If you are still interested however, and are willing to deal with the wait times/shipping costs, we can definitely try to work something out, maybe PM me so we can talk it over! |

As far as the parking brake boot goes, I like to unclip the frame from the forward most part of the boot where it snaps into the console, then gently unclip the sides, then the rear most part of it will simply come out, then you can pull the handle/boot off |
