Wish me luck... doing the CTS inlet, the VR9 plumb back, and the FTP TIC pipe tomorrow on my 435xi. I think I have everything together but doing last checks.

The flat edge of the plumb back for proper recirculation, how is that oriented when installed- 2:30-ish?

This is what mine looked like when I was done, there's a small locating notch I believe.

Edit: There is NOT a locating pin on the turbosmart, but there is on the oem. My mistake.
This is the only way I could clock it so the cable was actually reachable.

Screen rotation is messing with me. I'm trying not to overthink this but also not trying to make a dumb mistake. If I'm looking at your DV dead on from the front that connector is shooting out 10-11:00, yes? I don't see how it could go any other way.

This is looking up from the bottom of the engine bay. The cable is pointed at about 8 o'clock.

For those watching similar threads, I accidentally replied this on someone else's...

I'm suddenly a man without a lift. My friend who's nice enough to let me use his had something come up that needs it. Our calendars for the next few weeks don't align for me to get in there before he starts an engine rebuild.

Anyone near Greensboro, NC know a guy who knows a guy? 🙂 I really don't want to pay a shop because a) trust and b) me missing out on the experience.
