F30 320d Cricket/Chirping Noise when Idling at operating temp.

Hi guys,

I’ve been getting a VERY annoying chirping noise from the engine of my 2012 320d as you can hear below.
It only happens after the engine reaches operating temperature and is never heard just after starting it and only when idling, if I press the acclerstor it stops until I let go again.

YouTube Video

Would any body have any idea as to the cause? Dealer replaced a tensioner to no avail

Thanks very much!

Highly likely coming from the belt drive. Find a better garage that will check your pulley system by hand, could also be alternator bearing or coolant dripping on the belt.
