What’s the best way to remove this hose?

What’s the best way to remoge this hose/clip? I am replacing water pump and tstat and another hose and potentially this hose pictured even though it doesn’t look to bad but it is original hose..

The clip that’s included is one of those squeeze clamps. But the one installed seems differnt.

Appreciate it.

That hose unbolts from the engine block. It comes with a new metal pipe as a replacement hose.

you dont remove the hard pipe from the block, its hard to get and if you dont change the seal , it will leak.

if you dont have access to the metal clip, you cut it with a dremel.

Use provided hose clamp when you put the rubber hose back.

I replaced mine. It's never leaked in 200,000 miles. The BMW part comes with a new pipe and o-ring.

Yeah I know the metal pipe comes with the piece I’m talking about, but they make what they call a coolant hose repair kit, it’s the silicone/rubber part on the end of the metal pipe to the block. It looks like a one time use hose clamp or something that’s why I was asking.

I already purchased the new repair hose part showing in 3rd pic.

I think it’s a one time use type clip. It’s not that I don’t have access to put pliers on it it’s just an odd clamp I’ve never seen before. I guess I’ll try pry it up and pop it off and or dremel it

The new rubber part that replaces this part came with a supplied clamp.

I’m not even sure I’ll replace it but I should because I’m not positive where my leak was coming from. Seemed like it was coming from one the bolts on the pump connecting the plastic to the metal part of the water pump. Not 100% tho

Those don't leak unless they have been oil-swollen. Yeah, it's a permanent OE clamp, and you have to cut it off (don't pry) to install the replacement.

Yeah I don’t think it’s leaking, but it’s got 149k miles on it lol. Doesn’t look to bad but meh.
