I like it, it just happened to come with the car (used) so no choice. I have kids too so while leather cleans mroe easily it gets hots, can rip, scartch, etc so non-leather was my choice... and the cloth/Alcantara combo is spot on.

I think I finally have my answer as to why I don't like leather seats very much! Don't get the fuss with it, and it's easier to spot if anyone has been abusing their car with cloth seats!

I really like the alcantara would probably pick it over leather unless the leather was of extremely good quality, nothing I hate to see more than cheap leather, unfortunetely most manufacturers fit this

Alcantara has always been my choice (E46, E90, E92)
It's warmer in the winter and doesn't sweat in the summer.
Never once got a problem about it when trading in, I think I-drive is a bigger concern if you want good trade-in value.
And it looks like new after 4y of heavy use.

Out of the BMWs I have had I don't suppose it was bad just quickly worn and none of them had mega mileage the one that had the most mileage was my 5 series (100,000) that had a cloth interior that looked like it hadn't been sat in!

Definitely has to be the alcantara, helped me sell my car in 48 hours, all 3 of the callers commented that they wanted it...

Here is a BMW at 20 years old.....
