I think thats what he said to me also.
its up to you. Is spending an extra $100 bucks worth waiting to see that the same numbers will probably be put back up on a dyno 3-4 weeks after it got installed? Your call.... |

Just to let you know (I read most of the thread, but not all) - if you have a peak torque gain of 8-10 ft lbs, then you list that as the peak gain.
The peak torque figure may be attained at a higher rpm with less than 8-10 ft lbs. I would list the gains as 16hp and 10ft lbs of torque. This would not be falsely advertising these gains as they would be accurate. As you said, you definitely feel the torque in the lower rpms and it is a significant gain to let everyone know about it. Great job

stock and 165 ft/lbs after... I made 5 peak because the peak of the torque curve hits 165. I could have added 30 ft/lbs of torque at 3000 rpms but since its under the MAX torque its not the peak, even though more power would be available earlier, but that doesn't mean I made 30 MORE ft/lbs. I just had 30 more come in to play earlier. I'd rather (and I think Tony would agree) put out conservative numbers and have other people hit or exceed them than put out some big fish story that nobody ever can match. Any idea if the tune they are putting out was made for a car with an intake ?
I have an intake and muffler delete on my personal car and would like it tuned for at least the intake. |

you could start with the flash and then have it custom tailored to your mods. They charge $100/hr for custom tuning on top of the flash price. They are also able to do it remotely so you can be on a dyno down in miami and they'll tune from here in chicago. Very slick and a lot of people take advantage of this.

BTW be patient with Tony, he left for New Jersey today and he'll be back sometime next week. Hopefully he'll check his email at some point but I know they are doing a lot of tunes this weekend. He is usually pretty good about getting back to people in a timely manner though, so hopefully you'll hear from him soon. |

well your 1st run was good, 2nd one looks like you got caught between gears or just in a band power band but you still took him by 1/2 a car length.
where are you shifting at RPM wise? |

ECU
So the DIY to remove the ECU is missing the pictures...
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44667 Does the ECU/DME need to be removed to re-flash assuming we go with the option to do it ourselves? Sorry for the stupid question, just trying to figure out if I should bite the bullet and send mine in or request the equipment to reflash myself. |
