Contacted my local SA and Parts Manager, they searched hi and low and didn't find anything yet using the part # 33 50 2 414 216. Both were anxious to see the setup, I sent them some pics, a KW link, etc.

I emailed the m performance group at BMW - they have confirmed it will come out very soon and is being finalized. It will be able to be used on all 2015 f82/83s

Oh how I want to believe them...

Any chance they clarified if they would be available "very soon" in all markets? A few posts back, it sounded like Euro market first followed by US/rest of the world (which seems odd to me, but what do I know).

This was the exact feedback- if was received yesterday.

"Thanks for contacting the BMW Genius Team.

We are currently working to offer a BMW M Performance Coilover system that is planned to be used for the standard and electronic dampening suspension for the BMW F82. While we do not have an exact release date, we hope to offer this M Performance Accessory soon. "

Any coilover kit that works on an F82 will work on an F80. The F83 is the one that surprises me.

Why is the f83 surprising?

Like I said in an earlier post. It will literally be one year from the 2015 SEMA show introduction to the actual release. Unbelievable and unacceptable IMO. They've got all of us who want to keep the ride as close to stock as possible but lower it to our liking roped in and waiting for this while passing in aftermarket options. Great business plan but shitty customer appreciation.

I don't blame you- thinking of the same thing here, especially since I read the m performance coil over set will be like a sleeve type set up like Dinan or kW- so not a 100% true coil over.

Also did you pair with the Dinan rear suspension links (toe links) and anti roll bars? I was considering pairing the Dinan coil over setup with their toe links only and dropping it 0.75inches all around - did you go with the recommended 0.5" (any complaints, issues?)

Didn't get the toe links, but did get ZCP sway bars and coded the ZCP EDC settings for the shocks. I ended up lowering 1" (max drop) in the front and about .5" in the rear.

The car is on rails no, a lot of the lean is completely gone and everything is much more responsive.

While things are def stiffer and less compliant for bad roads or bumps, hey, this is an M! Honestly, I don't think the stock set up was overly complaint either, esp on bad roads.

One thing I noticed is the improvement of comfort steering, which I actually prefer now. With the coding, sways and stiffer springs, a lot of slack and wobbliness in comfort has gone away. And I get more range in turning + control vs. sport.

Good luck!

Sounds like another positive review for Dinan and the drop looks just perfect. Might be time to put Dinan back on my short list of alternatives as I'm impatiently waiting for a solid release date on the M Perf kit.

BTW, the drop is adjustable, it's a HAS kit .

Yup. Was just saying that, cosmetically, the drop of 1" front, 0.5" rear looks great to my eye. As does the drop on yours by the way...beautiful car.

Hopefully the M kit will actually come out soon and have the same or "better" specs.

Thank you for this input! This is great- and I will have to agree the car looks fantastic! Not sure thought if 1inch would be ok for me in the front- as I'm in the north east and roads are crazy in some part. Let me ask is the rake beneficial for handling or would an even drop all around better for handling?

For what it's worth...was in the neighborhood of my local BMW dealer today and stopped in to ask if they had any info in their system on these. Nada. They didn't even know what I was talking about. Sigh.

Your car looks great! And it sounds like the handling is even better. I need to find a coder in Boston. I want to code in the ZCP settings also. Does the coding just adjust the shock rate? Or other things as well?

Thanks everyone! I believe the ZCP EDC coding changes up the dampening rates and controls. To me it really smoothed out the shock performance while taking away some of the crashing sensation.

For coding, look up Alex@Alpine:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1173487

He's located in LA but can code remotely. Just need a reliable connection and the coding. I also coded Euro Engine to open up and add a little more umph to the engine.

Here's another pic...

I don't think it fixes the sloppy rebound stroke though.

Ya, but I don't think the MP HAS would have either. Rumor is that Dinan is coming out with dampers for the f8x cars...

The ride looks awesome! Where did you get the ZCP sway bars? are they comparable to the Dinan anti roll bars in terms of weight , price and performance?

I am assuming for install the rear sway bar would make the most difference or would you recommend both?
