I really hope it's not the "only the M3/M4/M5/M6 should be allowed to have quad exhaust" argument... Like some kind of exhaust police that makes sure that no one apart from the "big boys" are allowed to have quad exhausts... I mean, what's up with the regular BMW AG models also having 19" wheels, M-styling etc...???

BTW, the exhaust sounds really good
way to put words into my mouth....whats wrong with just having a good setup in its own styling? you don't think none of it has to do with any of the higher models designs? im not saying it looks bad at all...just curious as to why?? its a complex i tell you....

i've had an n20 328i and it was fun but i wouldnt go through the trouble of adding and having to cut or buying an additonal piece.....a good bolt on, whats wrong with that?

A quad exhaust on the X1? I will let our headquarter know that there is a demand on it. We do have an X1 exhaust that is probably going on production. I will hand out more info about it once we have it ready. Stay tuned.

Thanks for asking, but this is all we have at the moment. Seems like most people like a quad setup on their N20. I will keep you posted once we have more media on the single exhaust.

I didn't mean to put words in your mouth. I was just trying to understand the reasoning why you questioned a quad exhaust on a 428i.

IMHO, the Remus is a good bolt on. You bolt on the new exhaust and use a template and 10min to cut out a piece out of the rear diffuser. That's a pretty simple bolt on mod to me

Probably not more involving than some of these F8x bolt on mods:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=994207

And certainly a lot less involving than some of the suspension, brake and exhaust mods quite a few E9x M3 owners have done...

Of course modding is about changing the appearance of a car. Just like people choose the M-sport option to differentiate their car from a base model etc. It's not like the only cars that have quad exhausts out there is the BMW M models. But it's usually the M owners that seem to be questioning owners of "lesser" BMW models modding their cars (while often also applauding M owners that mod their M's...)

To me, it's just as legitimate to mod a BMW M model (for instance with the M Performance parts linked above) as it is to mod a BMW AG model. And I also find it odd that some seem to mean that; "It's ok to mod, just as long as you don't do a quad exhaust"...

But this thread wasn't supposed to be about whether it's ok to do a quad exhaust or not. Remus (and others) offers a bolt on quad exhaust. People will buy them and enhance the sound and appearance of their 428i's. Good for them

i was just questioning WHY they offered a quad ... i read another post and it seems they do offer a single as well....thats all i was asking. I've modded all my cars I've had previously. no need to jump to conclusions. shit i put a single exhaust on my s2k and a dual exhaust and both setups were good except one just left a gaping hole on the right side.

It's like putting stickers of the side grills on a civic. It's not an M4 stop trying to kid yourself.

Sorry, I was probably unclear. I saw the quad exhaust on the 428i...and absolutely would not want a quad on an X1. But i'd love the sound of that exhaust. I'll keep checking for the X1 exhaust release!

Where did that happen in the video?

They rev both cars and then they do the same acceleration in both cars. After that it's only the Remus quad.

Please point to where in the video they do unloaded vs loaded one after another.

re watch the video, they do stock exhaust with no load...IE sitting still, then they do it with the Remus. They also do an acceleration video which is under load and they again do stock first followed by the Remus.

Rev= no load
Accel= load

Ok, I misunderstood you then... I thought you meant that they didn't do a fair comparison and that the stock was unloaded and the Remus was under more load to exaggerate the sound improvement...
