Yeah. Some of the early LCI cars used up what remained of the N54 stock. My E90 is the same. No way to know other than looking under the bonnet. If yr really lucky you can get a N54 with the effecient dynamics and get the lower tax too.

I have saddle brown in my 330i but I don't think it works with Silver. I always think Silver needs black leather. |

U can get a decent set of performance mods on the N55 now , pure/vargas have stage 2 turbos, the standard set of mods such as jb4/Cobb, DP's, charge pipes etc easily available, DP's are a lot easier to install than on the N54, love my N55, great engine with no know weaknesses

Don't want to hijack the thread as mine is a 330i Manual. But barring the exhausts they look the same.
Here is some on MV3's with wife's coupe back in the day. http://s822.photobucket.com/user/Not...%20Coupe/May13 And here is some with the 269's which I will be putting back on imminently unless I save them for a 335i. http://s822.photobucket.com/user/Not...e%20Grey%20E91 Its got part elec saddle brown leather, Sunroof, Xenons, Corner lights. No I Drive or Nav. |

Saddle Brown is nice, I had it on my 550i LCI touring (Carbon Black).
When I sold my car a couple of people passed it by because of the interior. Like 550i LCIs are common, easiest car I've ever sold! Anyway, I sold my 3 series now and looking for an F10 with N55 ideally (my A7 fell through, it failed Audi's approved used check and they are now refusing to retail it0. The 335i was a massive step backwards in NVH and refinement after an E Class with Airmatic. Lovely cars though the 3er, and I did try an F30 335i Luxury today which I really wanted to like, but it wasn't a step change in refinement from the E9x.

John,
You're welcome to try my E91 for completeness. Unless you want an auto! |

I have had a Black S50 M Coupe for the last 6 years, it is definitely a keeper for me, slower than my 335i in a straight line but with some suspension tweaks makes up for it in the corners! My E91 is running the Bird's B3 kit with uprated anti-roll bars and M3 front suspension/ rear bushes and it is very good but as you would expect cannot hide the size and weight when compared to the Coupe. To the OP, LCI E91 335i MT are out there, I bought mine through this forum..... just be patient and fast to move when they come up. |

I would love a 335i manual estate. I keep an eye out for them in case a nice one pops up. This one came up recently, which looks stunning, i guess this is the one Dann mentioned on the first page.
Unfortunately, as it was a private sale i couldn't buy it as by the time i sold my car etc it would have been gone. It didn't hang around long either. |

That was the one that appeared just after I had bought my E90
Shame it was way out of my budget (it was up for 17.5k originally then dropped)

But personally at 5+ years old I'd rather have no built in nav as its crap and outdated. The non-nav dash is sleek and leaves room for a Tom Tom etc.
Also leather is f##ked by 5+ years old, cloth is usually tip top. Horses for courses.... |
