Can you post a pic of the outside (fender) clearance of your rear wheel? Thanks.

Great video and not a bad lap either (!).

I've been looking for something to replace my aging E36 track car. I've been considering GT3 or C6Z06, but it looks like I can put the new M3 back on my list.

I'll be at Roebling this weekend, hoping to break under 1:20, but the weather isn't looking great.

Have you had the car to Road Atlanta or VIR yet? Curious about lap times there.

Thanks for the info, I've got 10mm spacers all around at the moment so I may have to go down a size in the back to run square, but we'll see soon

Care to elaborate on the tire ideas??

[QUOTE][Have you had the car to Road Atlanta or VIR yet? Curious about lap times there./QUOTE]

I was at VIR this week, Mon & Tue, ran three times, with stock everything, full course, AND not pushing the car big time, I posted 2:21, this based on incar video.

I might add, the car felt very good. Pushed noticably in turn 1 after rotation and under power, and again at 4. Esses at or over 110 no problem, stable and South Bend with only a little touch of the brake before entering. Oak Tree is Oak Tree - 40 mph turn - 3rd gear and up to 145 plus/minus easily accomplished. I would not go faster. Down the hill and into Hog Pen slower than normal due to tires, but front straight up to 120 give or take. I took it easy on the brakes everywhere.

With brakes and tires, VIR would be a great track for the heavy car - key is getting it slowed down.

This is my rear fender clearance with 285/30 BFG on 18x10.5 rims ET 30mm on stock suspension. The Dinan springs dropped it slightly. I am trying to figure out if it is enough to add 10mm spacers, or if I should go with 5mm.

yea.. same size 10 wide with 25et.... No rubbing at all like i am now with 5mm spacer... KW V3 lowered almost all the way.. rear camber is 1.46

I would think you could do a 10mm spacer.. but like i said... my inner fenders have been wollo'd out a good bit (mainly the plastic stuff where the bumper hooks into the rear 1/4)...... plus slightly rolled 2 or 3mm...

Thanks for the specs Kingleh. Since I'm not too lowered, my inner fender gaps should be fine. I'll either do 5mm with 295/30 or 10mm with 285/30 with my next set of tires.

Nice. Yeah, turn 1 into the second lap was a bit overdone, but you do have excellent car control, so you can get away with throwing it in there...

Then folks talk about square setup, and I don't get it. It has plenty of rotation if you use the throttle as necessary. I wouldn't want more.
