I’ve put a cheeky bid on eBay just now for a used Esinkin Bluetooth Audio Adapter for Music Streaming Sound System - think that’ll work!! Maybe. Cheers
I believe, having a quick read, that should do the job of (1) in my post above...

I have one of those adapters (although the logitech one) to play spotify from my phone through my aged amp and speakers. Works a treat although it is very agressive in terms of connecting to my phone, to the point where I have to unplug the adapter when I switch off the amp. Not a great chore but something to consider if you were thinking of hiding the adapter out of sight.

That's a good point... Because the unit is simply a receiver/sender it remains "live" and connected when you turn off your amp and it is still switched on...

I have a smart lighting setup and have stuck a lot of my hifi and av stuff on smart switches, set up through a smart hub, so I can, say. "turn on/off lounge hifi"... It's convenient and also I save about £100/year not having these devices all in standby...

What Onkyo amp is it? You could connect a Google Chromecast to a hdmi input then cast from your mobile device.

You might already be aware, but if you still yearn for that experience Cinema Paradiso still offer a DVD / Bluray post service that's virtually identical to what LoveFilm used to provide.
