I have the same set-up but on stock sports suspension. I went with a 275 rear tire and I rub a bit. From what I understand it is because I went with a Kuhmo tire and they tend to be a bit wider. If I went with a 275 tire for the rear with any other tire or if I went with 265 with any tire I would be fine. I just went with the 275 to have a bit more rubber for protection and to take some of the wheel gap out because I am not lowered. So to answer you question, I think you will be fine if you go with a 265 rear tire, but you never can be sure. But even if you rub a bit, it can be fixed by fender rolling that will cost 50-75 per fender.

Guys,
These wheels are really nice! I'm considering the 18" staggered CSL in silver for my 2008 Titanium Silver 328I but have some questions. I don't understand the offset and do these come with TPMS if I bought the tires also? What tires are the majority of you using for the 18's, General? I'm expecting my car to arrive by the end of Mar. Thanks, Wig |

We can package these together for you with tires and TPMS sensors preinstalled so the setup is ready to go when you receive it. Generals are a great choice for tires, we also do a lot of the Kumho Ecsta SPT, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 for a higher end tire. |

Actually, the face on all our 9.5" wide VB3 CSL wheels are the same for their respective diameters. So, the +22 offset face is not more concave than the +45 face. I concur with L~R~G nor cal in that H&R shouldn't rub with 265/35/19 tires, however sometime due to different tires or alignment may cause slight rubbing. I think you'll be fine though. Go for the springs!

it looks like it to me,the spokes on the vmr's seem to curve in from the rims edge where as the miro's seem to start the curve about half way along the spoke,if you see my point, that was the first thing i noticed about the miro's and which gives the vmr's the edge, although from a side on view the miro's do look better.

^ That's my take too, except for the last bit. I think they basically look the same from the side.

I think Miro does the hyper silver, and VMR does the hyper black. I might be mistaken. There are so many finishes flying around that are exclusive to each brand, it's hard to keep it all straight.

These are the colors we currently produce, from light to dark:
Super Silver Gunmetal* Hyper Black Matte Black* Hyper Silver: These two wheels are essentially the same color. We used to carry this color for the VB3's, but because there was hardly a difference in color between super silver and hyper silver we decided to discontinue it. The difference is so little that you cannot distinguish the colors under most light conditions. With about half a mile of brake dust, you really cannot tell the difference. We say this not so that we can reduce colors that we carry, otherwise we can cut down our color selection by 75% and recommend different brake pads depending on the color you wish your wheels to be . * Available only thru EAS.

Yes! We also carry both Silver and Hyperblack CSL wheels! We are the largest distributor of Velocity Motoring's CSL wheels along with all the available offsets and sizes that Velocity carries! We also offer a comprehensive wheel and tire package, where all you have to do is install it onto your car when you receive it!
Keep your options open because we also offer MiRo CSLs that are becoming very popular!!--http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113467--They are a beautiful hypersilver finish with a CUSTOM ET-33 rear offset, JUST for the E90 and E92!! The front offsets are also ET-35, so you'll have the most flush setup in the front and rear WITHOUT RUBBING--even if you plan on lowering it! The MiRo CSLs are lighter than the VMRs, and the durability of these wheels are extraordinary. JWL, VIA, and ISO certified, you won't have to worry about purchasing cheap quality wheels with MiRo. I think these are the most accurate of all CSL replicas out there because of the serious detail in every spoke! They follow the curvature JUST like the OEM CSL!! Take a look at the pictures on our website! We also offer the MiRo CSLs as apart of our popular wheel and tire package! Talk about convenient Click any images below for more information ^VMR Silver CSL ^VMR Hyperblack CSL And of course... ^MiRo Hypersilver CSLs The picture is of the MiRo CSLs on an E90, and if you look to the distance, that's an actual E46 with OEM CSLs! This picture is a good example. The rears on the OE version are all the way in the back, but show well that these are shallower than the originals. The Miro's actually look like they bulge out a bit before sloping in, where the OE rears start going concave right away. Certainly not a huge difference, but noticable. The front to front comparison is pretty darn close, but the offsets and wheel width don't offer as much space for much more concavity anyways. |
