I thought you were changing over to KWV3s with me?
But as far as springs go, I definately think Eibach is the way

I'll go V3's in due time. Going to give it another year for now I hope I can finally enjoyed a somewhat lowered car with EDC.

How do you like your Eibach's now that you've had them on for a few months? Hows the ride quality?

Do you notice any difference when driving aggressively?

I feel everythings improved except comfort (which is slightly degraded) and the handling when the road is VERY bumpy --- but when it's like that you aren't taking turns hard anyways.

It's a huge improvement over the H&R's and the ride quality feels like a factory sport mode (if this makes sense). The car still handles like an M3, only feels sharper and less body roll. I'd say it's a great upgrade if you're looking to keep EDC.

SOUNDS GREAT my last question is how is it 140+ still confident?

Thanks for the info Mr. Harris, sounds like a good mod. Like you, I don't want to sacrifice ride quality or handling just to get the car lower. Sounds like the ride quality is only diminished on VERY bumpy roads, so I think I could live with that. How is it when just cruising down an interstate that's not the smoothest surface? If you put it in "comfort" mode, is it soft enough to make the ride about the same as stock? We do take "road trips" fairly often and when traveling at 70mph down the highway it's nice to soften up the suspension and not feel every little bump in the road.

I've had my Eibach's for about a year now... They are nice, (but now I'm thinking coil overs just to go a slight bit lower and improve performance). They are great if you have a lip on your car since they don't put you too low to drive around everywhere. The handling is good. They feel pretty good at high speed, and nice and smooth cruising down the highway.

This is 142mph on Eibachs, MDM engaged (EDC Normal, Sport+ throttle and steering) and front windows open... I'd say that it is very confident.

Thank you thats all I wanted to hear.

BTW If I remember correctly you had a very nice 335 widebody right? I seen it in a magazine and you are pretty much the reason I got the car. At the time I was shopping and your car caught my eye.

On the same note im going to be getting either the eibachs with e36 bump stops and try a reputable mechanic to shave OR go with a Ground Control Kit both are my only choices after much research.

These springs will feel great on a road trip. Driving to vegas or SF on the H&R's and I would dread it to the point I don't think I'd go. Eibachs, I have the same confidence as stock in performance and comfort.

I just had Eibach springs installled. The car looks great and the ride is good. I have only had them for a short period but the stiffness seems livable for a daily driver. Not much stiffer than stock.

after my older brothers, both w/ H&R coilovers on their 02 E46 M3's, had their little experience w/ their coilovers, I vowed that I, nor they, would ever buy a product from H&R again. Period.

So looks like Eibach has the best reviews from everyone. I'm interested in going with lowered springs for handling & looks. I really don't want to blow $1,000+ on Dinan springs but this bump stop issue has to be addressed if one goes with Eibach's or other springs. I've read where the E36 bump stops are a accepted replacement and will work fine with the Eibach's on the M3. Is this proven to be true? So if I go with Eibach's and the E36's bump stops am I going to be good to go? I have EDC and just don't want to screw up the shocks with the wrong fitments.

Also I was thinking of going with some after market roll bars I've seen for the M3, would that be too stiff of a ride then? Sway bars of course I think would work well or better for the track and I do track the car when I can.

The other route is to do the Ground Control Coilovers that allow you to keep EDC. I think if I did not already have the Eibachs, I would go this route. All said, it will run you 1K, but so much better than just springs alone. If you are set on springs alone, the Eibachs are a great choice though.
