Try again...without a semi-reflective surface any projection would just travel out into space.

"BMW vehicles with BMW Head-Up Display can be recognised by a small square depression on the dashboard. This contains a projector and a system of mirrors that beams an easy-to-read, high-contrast image onto a translucent film on the windscreen, directly in your line of sight."

However it competes favorably across the 5 (M5), 6GC&M6GC and almost all 7 series models. I.e due to it's superb driving dynamics it can compete with BMWs sportiest models one size down. I expect the Pajun to do the same. I.e it will be positioned directly against the funfer but likely have the performance and agility to take on the M3 and M4, to Porsche pricing of course...

Anyhow it now seems it's been put on hold and is up n the air due to heavy investments in the Macan. Crap, it's the car I was looking forward to the most.

I hope that they don't just release the option prices and stop there and take another week or two (or more) for lease residuals and money factor. I'm not sure how this is done usually, I don't know if the two happen together.

Agreed. All I see on TV are commercials for the M235i and the LCI X5. Nice, but not what I'm waiting for.

I'm starting to worry I won't have my M4 until October. I should have kept my #2 M3 allocation lol. I might actually have to buy a car to last me until then.

Mark my words, a majority of the 'pre-orders' will disappear when the residuals and money factors are released and people realize their monthly will be in 1000-1100/month range. I'm sure you'll get your car by October if you don't mind paying extra

Don't expect finance/lease number till mid this year.
Here is FAQ from BMW David.
==================================
Can you run a payment for me?

As much as I would love to, currently there is no program in place from BMW Financial Services. No residuals, money factors or APR. If the recent trend of M vehicles continue with respect to the BMW FS programs available at launch, I expect the 36 month term with 15k miles to be anywhere from 52%-56% at least for the first few months.

I am optimistic though (more like fingers-crossed) for a 36 month/15k residual of 57%, meaning a 12k mile lease with the same term would be 59%, and 10k miles would be 60%.

The money factor has been consistently hovering around .00125 to .0013 for the past four months for every BMW model. The same consistency can be seen with the APR which has been either 2.99% to 3.19% for the past four months.

Since the M3 and M4 are not expected to arrive until June, I don't anticipate BMW FS will release a program for them until at least May or June.

So can a veteran leaser guesstimate payments on a car with that info?

You can do that yourself, this is what I use : http://www.bankrate.com/calculators/...alculator.aspx

For a lightly optioned car with an MSRP of 70k, if you consider a very optimistic 56% residual and the same money factor, with all MSDs, the monthly is around $950 with taxes up front. If you want to roll in the taxes, don't go for MSDs, or add more options it will go up. I'd say for the average person with an average option list, it will be easily between 1000-1100/month.

My M6 is 1240 before monthly tax...190 bucks more gets M6!? Hopefully they come out with high residuals or something

This has been the case historically.

When 2008 M3 was released, you could pay about $100 more and get a nicely optioned E60 M5. The problem is, not only the M3's lease deals are going to be terrible, but the M5/M6 lease deals are getting better and better. The cars are maturing now in their middle of their production cycle and the lease program is pretty good.
