I looked at the X2 configurator after I posted. Noticed two things. They’re not offering the M35i version anymore. Sad. And it seems the X2 doesn’t offer the HK stereo. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Mocha is super nice.

I think that’s supposed to mean the basic stereo is not good enough.

I know reliably was apparently a big focus in its development.

I always like to buy the last year or two of an out going German car. By then all the bugs are usually worked out and early examples have had enough time to show long term problems. Bonus is the price normally takes a nosedive with a more recent generation out there.
