Test version of a carbon fiber front engine cover. Still working on the vent. It fits ...just a minor pain in the ass to install.

Not real Santorini unfortunately. Mine is the Frozen White underneath, wanted to keep the original paint nice. The Frozen colors came with black GTS wheels but they are awful to clean from factory because they are matte.

Curious what this costs. My bumper is pretty beat up and I need to get this done.

I was quoted 650. That's repairing all the deep gouges my dog made, filling in the holes for the reflectors and repainting the whole bumper.

finally broke down and bought (and installed) one of these guys. i've tried real hard to only do actual track mods to this car, and nothing aesthetic, but the alcantara has to be good for at least 5 more seconds on track, right?!

One of the best mods period. You’re going to love it either way. Just get used to cleaning and becoming neurotic.

A diff cover lubricates the pinion bearings by the ring gear rotating and flinging the fluid up and over to the front of the diff case. The back case is curved to facilitate the fluid going up and over the LSD case and prevents excessive turbulence with the oil which could lead to foaming. It is important to manage oil flow inside of the case.

The VAC cover is rounded near the top but the bottom half is squared off. And the rounded ramps machined into the housing are slightly higher than the stock cover.

Might be OK with a cooler but you might find that you'd be fine without a cooler or slightly more frequent change intervals. You could also use the drain plugs as the feed and return for the cooler - the drain plug is in the sump of the diff. Which would be in a better location than behind the ring gear - which will be turbulent. One gulp of air and your fluid pump cavitates, damages itself and then sends metal through the diff fluid.

Not worth the risk of using the VAC cover IMO.

And another word of caution - VAC makes a lot of nice looking crap that doesn't work.

Well....Louie is at it again. After I sent the bumper off to be repaired and painted ( he chewed up the front bumper) he decided to have a go at the air duct and crash bar...... looks like I may have to send him off for some proper training. I've been traveling alot more for work since I got him and honestly just haven't been able to give him the proper training here at home
