Smile My 2016 435i xDrive Convertible w/Individual options

I finally took delivery of My 2016 435i xDrive Convertible w/Individual options.

I placed my special order on 6/2 shortly after the 2016 pricing/ordering guides were released. On 6/16 BMWNA approved all of my Individual options with the exception of the 623i V-spoke wheels. Although I received an allocation slot and production number fairly quickly, the target production week 27 slipped to week 33 due to the Individual options so they say. It completed production on 8/17 and began the long journey across the pond on 8/24. On 9/16 it arrived at Port Hueneme, 9/18 at the VPC for port installed accessories, and released to the carrier on 9/23. The tracking black hole occurred between California and Colorado. It arrived at the dealership on 9/28 and I took delivery the next day luckily skirting a hail storm on the way home. My CA, wife, co-workers, and friends were all happy that my 3 month wait was over...I guess they were tired me providing them daily status.

Now that it's here, I can't be more pleased. I ordered the Individual options mostly in the blind using the BMW website and photos posted by other forum members and the internet. The Tanzanite Blue and Nutmeg Merino leather are nothing but spectacular and by far exceeded my expectations. I'm posting some pictures for your viewing pleasure, but they don't do it much justice as seeing it in person. My only disappointment is the iDrive Office / iPhone integration...specifically, the inability to receive email notifications.

This weekend I installed the iND painted front reflectors and keyhole cover. I couldn't figure out how to access and replace the rear reflectors. This week it's off to the shop the get PhotoSync window tint (75/35), Xpel Ultimate full wrap, and Opti-Coat Pro+ clear coat. So hopefully next weekend I'll be able to take it out for a fall drive in the mountains. With my luck, it will rain or we'll get our first snow and I won't be able to put the top down.

I didn't even know Individual leathers were now available for the F3x in the U.S. now. Is there an Individual catalog online someone?

If you don't mind me asking, what were the prices for the paint/leather/trim?

Why not M-Sport?

What is the decal on the rocker panel?

edit: M-Performance for your MPPK

I used the BMW.com (not BMWUSA.com) and BMW Individual app to make my choices. Then worked with my CA to get BMWNA and BMWAG to approve me special order. MSRP X10 1950, ZAML 2300, XEX 1080, XT1 950, XL3 50.

I was going more for the luxury look (my wife requiring it to be age appropriate). Also, if I had went for the M-sport, I would have been locked into wheels that I wasn't fond of. I added the MPPK/MPE which they added the decal at the port.

Outstanding and congrats!
I guess I won't be the only one with that combo~
I too have ordered T Blue and am going with the Nutmeg Interior. Only difference will be that I'm going with MSport, ShadowLine and 403M Wheels.
Still not sure of the interior trim. Either Hex Alumin with the Blue inlay, or the AshWood with Metal inlay?

Was going to go with the Red Coral Leather but it really does clash too much (ALOT of people mentioned that!) and figured, it's a once in a lifetime car so am going with the Individual Interior (since I've also got an Individual color).

European Delivery for next June.

Thanks! Is the $2300 for the leather on top of the charge for Dakota? Nutmeg looks great in your photos, despite being an awful olive-brown on BMW's configurator.

I wonder if they would approve Individual paint/leather on an otherwise lightly-equipped 320i. For some reason I am drawn to the idea of manual seats with BMW's best leather...

In lieu of the cost of Dakota leather. You don't know until you ask. Good luck!

Very nice ride!. Did you open it up a bit on the Schomp BMW test road leading out of the dealership? One of my favorite parts of visiting Schomp.

I'm sure the M-Sport version will be awesome as well. Please post photos. My backup plan for the trim was Ash Grain Fine Wood with Metal Inlay. I was looking for a contrast between the leather dashboard and extended leather. I had brushed aluminum trim in my 335 and it scratched to easily. I was hoping to do ED, but life events got in the way.

No...there was a Douglas county sheriff hanging out between the two dealerships. In due time...can't wait!

All in all those aren't bad prices to get Individual options that aren't technically on the options list for the U.S. A little extra nicety that you were able get the leather dash in two-tone.

Here's some pictures after getting PhotoSync window tint (75/35), Xpel Ultimate full wrap, and Opti-Coat Pro+ clear coat. Bummer, beautiful day here in Colorado and can't put the top down for a couple days while the window tint cures.

Just dropped it off at the dealership to get the brakes looked at. They feel very soft with little stopping power. Hope it's not an issue like a couple years back.

Still looking forward to that first fall drive in the mountains.
