Clutch bleeding tool question?
Just flushed my brakes and clutch using a pressure bleeder. Flushed the fluid out of the clutch with pressure till new fluid started to exit the tube. How important is it to use the "special" clutch bleeding tool from BMW or Bav auto? Will it make much difference? My clutch pedal feels the same and shifts fine after the bleed. I have noticed however that I have a harder time getting the tires to break loose on a quick 1-2 shift. Wondering if this may have something to do with air in the clutch from the sideways mounted bleed valve.

The tool is not necessary on the z4m. It is only necessary on the cars where the bleed screw is on the bottom of the slave cylinder.

Since my warranty ran out I might try this when I remove my modified CDV. Not sure how it would work as the line is full of fluid. Just really interested in the slave cylinder piston being bled.

This makes total sense to push from the bottom.
Should work just fine, you just won't get much air, just new fluid moving through. I'll be bleeding my brakes in a couple of weeks, I'll give this a try as well.
