320d timing chain replacement

Hi all

I'm looking for recommended garages to replace the timing chain and associated components on my N47 320D.

May 2013 build, currently on 104k miles. Started misfiring, took it to a trusted mechanic who agreed its sounding rough but nothing showed on their BMW OBD reader suggesting that I caught the issue early.

When starting cold the vehicle makes a tick tick noise under acceleration (especially notable if I shift up too early) for around 5 minutes till warm after which it is perfect. I have been advised that it's a loose chain and possible broken plastic rails.

Car prices are ridiculous at the moment so I am keen to keep this going for even another 12 months.

Any suggestions for garages - am happy to travel.

I and a few local BMW owners I know personally, all use and recommend BMR Performance in Turners Hill, not too far (20 mins) from Gatwick airport.

Not as cheap as some places, but BMW experts who probably know more than most BMW techs.
