What size torx bolt to take off belt tensioner? E14 or E16?

I'll be replacing my serpentine belt, belt tensioner, and idler pulley soon. Just wondering what size torx bolt the belt tensioner is held in by. I know to release the tension it's a T60 torx. But what about the bolt to take out the actual tensioner?

I heard conflicting things, is it E14 or E16? Also what size is the idler pulley bolt? Thanks

Pretty sure both the tensioner bolt and pulleys are T50.

I thought it was a T60? If it's T50 I bought the wrong size, poop.

Pelican parts and most youtube DIYs say it's a T60 torx to counter the tension spring. I have seen some DIY guides say it's a T55, but never heard of T50.

I trust Pelican Parts, they've never done me dirty before. So I went ahead and ordered a T60 already.

Anyone know the size of the E-torx to get off the actual tensioner assembly?

I mean T55 probably fits in OK to if it's actually T60.

Why not just buy a whole set? Your T60 must be like 10$ on it's own and a set is what, 20$ to 40$ ?

Ya seriously, just get the set going up to T60 and you'll be fine for future DIY's where you'll certainly need them..

Yeah and make sure it is the right one and is a tight fit because I have seen a few people strip them. I hate the stupid torx shit though.

Garage List
Just went out to the garage and checked... a T60 is needed to release the belt tension, and an E14 socket will unbolt the tensioner assembly from the block.

I was meaning the bolt holding the tensioner to the block was a T50. Literally just did it on my N55, so might be different on a N52. To release the belt tension it is a T60.

This set is the shit, highly recomended:
