You are 100% still leaking boost. I had this exact same noise with VRSF charge pipe for a couple months and couldn't figure out what it was. Turns out the coupler connecting the top and lower half of the pipe needed to be tightened up.

Inside the coupler, are the two charge pipes (IC side and TB side) meant to touch each other and connect? or is it fine as long as it is seated somewhere inside the coupler. It sounds like a supercharger whine almost |

I do not have an aftermarket Intake on the f30, stock one. And thanks for the heads up on the clamps i'll see how i can tighten it or re-fit the CP into the coupler. |

https://datazap.me/u/phuzex135/f30-l...data=4-6-27-31 It only happens under acceleration, not when i let off on the throttle. So when i go WOT, it takes a second then i hear the noise, and it slowly subsides as i get higher into the RPM range. I assume this is because the N55 PWG turbo runs out of gas in the high rev range and there is no longer enough pressure in the system to cause the leaking sound. |

Yeah, boost control generally looked fine in there. Should log 4th though if you are 8AT. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1732327

I probably wouldnt unless it changes or gets worse over time... Any other unusual mods that could be making the sound?

Nope, the only variable that has changed since i started hearing this sound is the charge pipe. I have a worry that it might be a tiny hole in the coupler, as the sound is very similar to that of air leaking out of rubber under pressure (kind of like a balloon deflating). But like i said, since it only happens under heavy load it's incredibly difficult to replicate!

Most of the time my logs looked fine, I would be within 2-3 PSI of target. Other times the car felt like it had no boost at all. If you think your coupler is tight, tighten it even more.
I reseated my charge pipe 3x, replaced o-rings with multiple different sizes on the TB and IC side. Shaved down over sized rings as thejeremyman9 recommended in an old post, none of that worked. On my final attempt I put the stock rings back in, tightened the coupler as tight as it would go and viola no more supercharged F30. |

You should really be within ~1 psi of target. 2-3 psi is enough off target i would consider there to be a problem.
Example of my logs: https://datazap.me/u/thejeremyman9/3...&data=4-5-7-17 |
