Question Inner tie rod help please

I was trying to replace the inner left (driver side) tie rod on my 330xi last night. I rented tie rod tool from Advance Autoparts and just could not break it loose. I used my impact wrench to turn it and it would not budge just started stripping the surface on the tie rod (the impact wrench has close to 1000 ft-lb of breaking force and 600-780 ft-lb of working torque which should be plenty, took out my cv axle nut with it without much effort).
Am I missing something? Is there some kind of retaining clip? Is it reverse threaded? Do they just use a lot of permanent Locktite?

I sprayed it with PB Blaster. So there is no additional retaining devices? Just regular thread?

Wolf 335, I think that did the trick. I let the driver side soak overnight, and when I got back to it it came off with no effort. Passenger side I made sure to spray PB Blaster into the groves that run perpendicular to the thread and it came out easy. Thank you for reply.

you guys need a small propane torch when working on suspension bolts it takes about 1-5 mins plus some small hammer taps and things will loosen up
