To be honest I would be very nervous about running carbon fiber wheels on the street or track. Carbon fiber does not bend, it shatters. If you hit a bad enough bump or something else made contact with the rim, it could be very ugly. Some racing series (F1, for example) do not allow CF rims.

That being said the Dymags are certainly about as light as it gets.

very true, and to be honest. I have an E93 too, and we didn't buy the E93 because it was the lightest version of the E9x M3

He said he didn't like the way they looked... I don't think he mentioned anything about them not being expensive, or about their performance. 10k for a set of light wheels on hard top convertible? I don't like the way they look either, but I don't consider myself a fanboy - I like the stock wheels.

Still, I appreciate the engineering. The car, including the wheels, is impressive. Caught the car on ebay yesterday, too. Good luck with the sale.

I wonder if the throttle response on the 135i is worth it for the looks of a girl car. Please dont even try comparing a 135 to a m3.

Comparing a 135 to an M3 is like comparing a Vagina to a Penis. Even if the Vagina was huge, it still is no Penis.

Just a bit of humor to show the disparity between your comparison....don't take it personal.

Nobody is talking about a 135i. I'm pretty sure the M3 is based off the 3er which last I heard also has a N54.
I've never driven a high horsepower NA car so my point about the differences arn't trolling or extolling the virtues of my chosen conveyance. Some of you 3er owners are touchy.

"Dymags on a hard top convertible with over 500 HP?"
Yes.

Regardless, whether it is a convertible or if it was a coupe, the performance the Dymags and Stroker provide on this M3, is undeniable. Just ask JEMarsal, a member of this forum.
With him as a passanger in my car and his friend driving his stock E90 M3 with no passanger, my car immideatly put 4+ car lenghts on his car in a 15mph-70mph pull...Eventhough I literally had no traction 1-2 gears with 305 PS2 tires.

People like to say, "oh, it's a vert" but people forget how well the vert hides it's weight, whether on the track or highway. Guys, look up the times in FastesLaps.com and compare the times of stock coupe and vert M3's.

The 1/4 times for stock M6, coupe vs vert is only 0.1 of a second according to BMW, although the M6 vert weights 400+ lbs. Due mainly to the amount of torque the 5.0 V10
put to the wheels which is kinda similar to the RS46.

I didn't either, but I wonder why you've done performance mods? Maybe every bit helps, no?

Good lord.

Can't someone put up a car for all to look at and possibly to buy, for a lucky soul, w/o the injection of "mine vs yours"?

I personally appreciate the amount of time and effort put into the car.
