Spark Plug Ring/Seal?

Swapping out the coils and plugs today and I fish this ring out of the plug tube... Can anyone advise on what this is and the best way to get it back into place?

It goes at the bottom of the metal spark plug tube. Remove spark plug tube and should be able to put it inside the bottom.

Yeah, I use 2 picks in the openings of the tube and pull it a bit towards inside, not to much to damage tube.
